Stuart Harvey is a Principal at Sullivan, Cotter and Associates, Inc. Stuart is a credentialed actuary with 15 years of consulting experience, focusing on executive compensation programs in not-for-profit health care organizations for the past 10 years. He grew up in England and started his career in London before moving to Atlanta in 2004.
Stuart has worked with a wide variety of health care organizations, with an emphasis on academic health care organizations and pediatric health systems. While he advises Boards of not-for-profit organizations on all matters related to executive compensation, he is a senior member of the Firm’s Benefits Practice and specializes in the evaluation, design and implementation executive benefits programs.
His experience includes:
- Advising Boards and Compensation Committees on all matters relating to executive compensation, with a specialization in strategic executive benefit program design.
- Managing total compensation assessment projects, including the assessment of base salaries, incentives and benefits.
- Designing and implementing compensation programs, including annual incentive plans, long-term incentive plans, deferred compensation and other benefits.
- Providing guidance on governance best practices and market trends.
Stuart has both a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cambridge. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is also certified to perform actuarial services by the Joint Board for the Enrollment of Actuaries. Additionally, Stuart contributed to the American Health Lawyers Association’s report: Corporate Governance Implications of Nonprofit Executive Compensation.
